John Bickerstaff ‘72

John Bickerstaff graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1975. He then attended law school and received his law degree in 1978. While attending the University, Bickerstaff was an involved student and leader. He was initiated into the Epsilon Epsilon chapter of Delta Tau Delta in 1972 and served as the chapter treasurer for two years and then as the IFC rush chairman for one year. In terms of other academic accomplishments, he was named a recipient of the Pat Shelley award for outstanding service to the University. He was also involved in Chain Gang, Sophos, and served as the Bobcats vice president as well as the chief justice of the ASUA Supreme Court.

Post-graduation, Bickerstaff became a tax accountant for Touche Ross and served in Saudi Arabia as a manager of an expatriate project on two occasions. He has remained involved with the fraternity and been recognized in many instances as an alumni. He is a member of fraternity distinguished service as the President of the Western Pacific Division. Additionally, he is a member of the fraternity arch chapter as the Western Division vice president and chapter advisor in addition to serving as a house corporation member for two chapters. All of these positions have allowed Bickerstaff to receive the Bowersox award for his chapter.

When asked what Epsilon Epsilon means to him, Bickerstaff responded, “I have learned many skills from the chapter. I would advise the undergraduates to serve the chapter as much as possible.” He now resides in Glendale, Arizona and now works as a self-employed lawyer.
